Official Biography
Approved author bio
Short bio
Gale Mariner writes historical maritime fiction rooted in documented fact: stories that recover the women who sailed, commanded and survived, and were written out of the record. The fiction is built on primary sources — ledgers, logbooks, court testimony, administrative tablets — and every book carries a bibliography. The forthcoming novel, The Last Daughter of the Sea, is set on Thera in the autumn of 347 BCE.
